At the 2024 Taiwan International Stationery Fair, Link Upon hosted a super cool event called "Discovering the Possibilities of a Sustainable Future"! The event was buzzing with excitement, drawing a big crowd. Not only did it showcase support for the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), but it also featured some really fun interactive activities. We couldn’t wait to share the highlights of the day with you!
Action Plan Wall
Participants in the action plan activity wrote down specific actions they believed could help achieve the SDGs on sticky notes and posted them on the action wall. Friends from all over the world participated, each writing their ideas in different languages. In just a few hours, the wall was completely covered in colorful sticky notes filled with action plans!
Eco-Friendly Tips You Can Start Right Away
The participants came up with many eco-friendly and energy-saving suggestions that can be put into action immediately, and I was blown away by their creativity! Here are a few examples:
Suggestions That Surprised Me!
One suggestion that surprised me was someone recommending not using toilet paper at all (??)! While this might seem a bit extreme, it reminded us that everyone can think of different ways to conserve resources. After all, even the most unusual ideas could be a small step toward changing the world!
Illustrated Suggestions - A Gathering of Global Wisdom
We have some true creative geniuses! Many participants paired their suggestions with cute little drawings, making our action wall lively and fun. What’s even more charming was seeing kids expressing their ideas using phonetic symbols—so adorable! Our wall also featured suggestions in various languages, including English, Korean, Japanese, and German, reflecting the international and diverse nature of the event. Each message was filled with passion and creativity, making the event truly vibrant!
Diverse SDGs Suggestions, Overflowing Passion for Sustainability
Our action wall was packed with participants' insights and enthusiasm for various SDGs. Particularly, SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) and SDG 15 (Life on Land) received unprecedented attention and support! Ideas like planting more trees, protecting forests, and saving polar bears are all aimed at advancing SDG 15. Besides SDG 12 and SDG 15, participants also proposed ideas covering other SDG goals:
The Power of Unity - A Successful and Fulfilling Event
The success of this event was not only reflected in the wealth of practical and specific suggestions but also in how it brought together people from different cultural backgrounds and languages. Everyone worked together, striving for a sustainable future. Through these creative and effective contributions, we are moving towards a brighter sustainable future.
